I want to take off the fake hood scoop on my 02 gt. How easy is it? Does it pull off? What does it look like with it off? Also want to take off the side scoops. Same questions.

Why?

I think the hoop scoop can be taken off pretty easily. Pop the hood and pull back the material that cover its. I think there are bolts that just come out.

Because I like the sleeper look and I hate how debris gets stuck under the scoops. I'm just wondering how it would look.

Here's what the underside of the scoop looks like:



The side scoops pull off, the retaining clips will likely rip out of the scoop or break off. It looks like crap underneath with a large hole (covered with a stick-on plastic sheet) in the body that is roughly the shape of the scoop.

you cannot remove the side scoops unless you want holes in the side of your car. you can check out the bullit side scoops they look a little better.

the hood scoop comes off with bolts, but IT IS NOT PAINTED UNDERNEATH THE SCOOP. so if you take it off, you will have about 9 holes in your hood and a big patch of primer. don't do it...

If you take off the scoop, it will look similar to the pic above, but will not have a honeycomb piece. Doesn't look good
