Wow, that is a lot of clearance. I'm all for a safe amount of clearance but why not put bigger cams in there? .060" seems like you are leaving a good amount of power on the table.

Probably doesnt even need that big of a cam to make the power that he wants to make really.

OP, is that the vacuum tree on the back of the plenum? Or where to you have your vacuum lines for the intake tract pulling from?

these grinds are the exact same specs as VT stage 2 blower cams, so basically just went from a stage 3 to a stage 2...also the stage 3 is way out of wack with rpm range, so this should put me in the rpm range where i want to be

I just got these cam gears a few months ago..

I know two people that had PTV contact issues with the HiTech Stage 2 cams
and it damaged their pistons and valves.
I'm not surprised you had PTV contact issues with the CMS Stage 3 blower cams
they are overkill for your set up anyway.

^ after getting the ptv contact i realized and am happy that it actually happened b/c like you said they are complete overkill. And now I have a custom grind that will put me where I want to be

97stanger, where did you put your vacuum tree at on your plenum? Is that it on the back of the plenum?
