Default what S/C is safer

What supercharger is safer in the event of my motor blowing? A KB 2.1? V-1?or novi 2k? I thought KB has like a safety thing to keep your S/C for getting destoryed if your mototr blows

probably a self contained unit like a Vortech V3 or procharger P1SC. so that way if metal bits go everywhere they will stay inside the motor.but centri's ( from what ive read and it kinda makes sense) are not as hard on the rods as a Twin screw is, so chances are your less prone to failure with a centri?

Alright cool thanks for the advie and that does make sense about a twin screw. It just if i blew my motor when i go S/C i dont want to blow my motor and ruin my S/C at the same time

most of the time you wont, i dont hear about it much anyways. and i think vortechs oil feed line i connected to the oil filter so there is some protection. what s/c'er are you wanting?

i agree w/ boduke. I have a v1, after the filter, and a FilterMag, just in case, But I like to know that my charger is getting cool , clean oil, as a streetcar

boduke- ive always wanted a kb2.1 ever since i started liking mustangs, But with a novi 2k is a really good headunit and it can get you a lot of rwhp but i can get a really good deal on a v-1. so either one of the three but i can get a good deal on a v-1

You probably don't need a Novi 2k unless you're planning on HUGE numbers... IIRX Ox was running a Race Ready Novi2k when he made 700whp.
Thats a good sized blower.

someone explained it to me like this.

the power/torque eases on in a centri.
The power/torque is "Fast pitched" on in a twin screw.

a centri would be like put your hand ( rods n pistons) in cool water (boost) and slowly heating the water up to scalding, will it be hot? yes. but you will be used to it. and therefore wont be as hard on your hand (rods & pistons)

a twin screw would be like heating the water ( boost) up, then just sticking your hand in there. its a sudden change and put alot of stress on your hand (rods & pistons in motor)

thats how i think about it.
