Stock vs. stock... the IRS will out handle the SRA due to the stupid **** UCA's

Jazzer

Even if you modd the hell out of the SRA, the IRS will still be more comfortable than anything else... which is why it is the winner in my book lol.

Well done SRA > IRS.
IRS is ok in stock Ford over a stock solid rear, but Ford's design still needs work. You'll dump as much if not more into it as the solid rear once you start going 'performance' with it for a 'handling' kind of set up.

I suggest stock SN95 shocks and struts for any suspension setup on an SN95 vehicle.
Maybe MM uses them because of the physical design on the shock and not the valving. I wish I could find some damping coefficients with aftermarket shocks/stock so I could buy the right shock...

I would consider with MM's suggestion though, they really do know their stuff. However I believe in the quote "believe nothing of what you hear, 20% of what you read and 50% of what you see"

I'll see what i can find...

Haha you are sadly mistaken. My IRS is setup to be road race ready and all that required was a bushing set with new tie rods with integrated bumpsteer kit, sway bar end links that are adjustable and coilovers. Bushing kit and all that cost me right around $800 and coilovers with the correct shocks was just about $600 I'd say(bought the full front and rear co kit from MM that was like $1600 or so with overnight shipping). For an sra to handle the same as my car, it would need a torque arm, panhard bar at least, lower control arms, and the same co kit for the rear. Even after all of that, the sra would still ride worse than my IRS and handle probably pretty equitably. So on a daily street driven car that is fun in the twisties, I still vote IRS 100%.

Yea.... an SRA from anything 04 and lower is not touching a basic modded IRS without a T/A... not happening.
