Blower cams, worth it without ported heads?

I mean i think you'll benefit most from ported heads + blower cams.
But yea id talk to Nick or the guys at CMS (10interror)...they'll set you up right.
Ill be swappin my Hitechs for blower cams down the road as well.

gotcha thats what I was thinkin
nice
just look at the guys running stage 1 and 2 NA cams on sc'd engines. havent seen anyone with blower cams without ported heads, but the 1/2 NA cams are seeing some good gains (i recall someone is running s2 na cams @ over 400whp with only 7psi), plus your power curve will be nicer up top with cams. wont see the full potential without heads but it wont be pointless to do either.

I got blower cams with stock heads with no porting and believe my gains were around 40 rwhp or so. The huge benefit of cams is you make more power beyond 5500 rpms. My cams keep making power until 6500 rpms with a centri blower the car screams.
However, If I could do it over again, I would have just purchased Stage III heads and cam combo as it would be a much more efficient than my current setup.

If you can afford both heads and cans, then by all means get both. You will definitely benefit from a set of cams alone. Especially in that you will continue to make power well after 6,000 rpm. Mine pulled hard all the way past 6400, but I ran out of fuel so we didn't take it any farther than that.

I just purchased a set of comp custom grind cams. They are to modular powerhouses kenne bell specs. Modular powerhouse is not around anymore and i found mine used i think they might be kind of hard to come by. But this is the grind that they ran the best times on all 3 sixed KB's. I will run a KB with these not sure on my heads yet
