Default SLP Powerflo mufflers

i was thinking about swapping my lm1 resonators for powerflo mufflers, i just have a few questions, it would be a direct swap right?

and if i do this then im gna buy a catted x, so how loud would a catted x with powerflos be compared to just loudmouth 1's with stock midpipe

thanks guys

I would bet that you need the flowtubes (tubes on the CB from the midpipe to the front of the mufflers) to make them work. Given that the Power-Flows seem to be a larger muffler and the bends in the flowtubes may be different than they are for your current LM1's.

I don't think it would be THAT much louder, LM1's are basically a hollow expansion cavity with no packing while the power flows are more involved. So going to a "louder midpipe" with quieter mufflers vs a quieter midpipe and louder muffler may even out. Just a guess.

nevermind, i just answer my own question i think, this came right from am

Modular Design. SLP's unique modular design allows you to quickly and easily switch out the mufflers or resonators to suit your driving needs. Along with the included Power Flow Mufflers, the Power Flow catback system is compatible with all SLP mufflers and resonators including the bullet-type Loud Mouth II and the shotgun-style Loudmouth Resonators.

then would these mufflers work, it doesnt say any years just mustang gt/cobra

Interesting. I know that the Magnaflow magnapack CB and the reg magnaflow CB have different flow tubes to accomodate for the different mufflers. Been there, done that.

Good news for you then!

Take pics, I always like seeing under car pics.

all the slp mufflers are interchangeable, it's not hard to swap if you didn't weld anything. I have slp catted x + slp lmII's and it's fairly loud so I'd say the powerflo's would be slightly quieter than your current setup but it'd sound a bit meaner.

Anyone have any guesses on how loud powerflos and a bbk catted x would be compared to slp lm1 with stock mid pipe. And difference in tone

It should be decently loud. It will have a nice rumble to it for sure!
