those transmissions are worlds better than the stock one in the GT, as long as it was installed properly and drives good there should be nothing wrong.
No he drives an 02 gt.
He's never had one in before so he wasn't sure how it'd work with the motor.
Thus why i'm asking.

And for the comments on what he drives i guarntee he's owned more mustangs then 99% of you guys.
Think he's at 22 and counting. And he's only 19. lol, CL junkies.

But thanks for the help, look forward to getting it this weekend if everything works out.

Theres alot of BIG TIME Ford guys on here whom i know have owned more mustangs because there at least twice his age. Theres only so many mustang you coulda owned b4 your 19. And owning & flipping are two different stories completely. If he has owned that many he'd know more about transmissions. (I'd hope)

But anyways OP. Glad you got this covered. And good luck with your car puchase.

There are several gear-ratios available for the T-56, so make sure they fit your needs. I have done a swap for such a trans and can find all the details in/outs in my thread.

LOL +1, there is a difference in owning something and driving it around for 2 days then selling it. Your friend OBVIOUSLY doesnt know mustangs very well if hes skeptical about swapping in a 6 speed.

You could take a good look at a T-bone by looking up a bulls ***, but wouldn't you rather take a butchers word for it?
The point is, no offense, but if he is questioning one of the best transmissions for these cars....chances are, he is clueless about mustangs.
Secondly, the car you are "looking at" in the classifieds is not only the sexiest color, but has a sick setup w/3.90s, cms 2's, longtubes, and that T56. If your friend doesn't recognize that, he is simply what we call a used car dealer.
