Default I need to wake my pony up!

Looking to get some more power out of my car. Was thinking of a programmer. I have full exhaust, short shifter, 3.73's, cai. I'm not looking to do heads, or cam, or anything like that now because i'll be starting this car from scratch in a few years. Just looking to wake this pony up a bit while i'm enjoying driving it and just keeping it running for now. Was thinking of SCT tune for 93 octane. Figured that might give me 15-25 hp. Any other mod ideas ?

You really should have gotten a tuner a while ago. If you get it, you can "tell" your car what CAI and gears you have so your car will run better and your speedometer will actually be accurate.

Throttle body and plenum should help give you a few more ponies for your pony. Itll also give you better throttle response.

With the mods you have listed, nothing short of a major mod (heads, cams, S/C) gonna wake up a NPI Stang

I know you dont want to do heads.... but that would be the BEST mod you can do to your NPI GT..... save your money.... and I see that you created 2 Threads with the same question today.... =/

As mentioned above, you should get a tuner to optimize your exhaust upgrades, cai, and correct the speedo.

I doubt you will see 15-25rwhp from the tuner, but you may be approaching 15rwhp with a 93oct tune to go with your current mods. If you get it from a good reputable tuner shop (like BRENSPEED), you should be able to use a "canned tune" until you get more mods and want to go for a custom tune.

You actually can't correct the speedo via a handheld tuner for the NPI 2v's. They run a mechanical gauge cluster. The tuner can only change the digital ones in the 99+ years. But, in my opinion it couldn't hurt either. Just to help get a little more out of the mods you already have.

As for the eventual head swap, don't half *** it. My brother had his 99 GT's PI heads ported and had custom ground blower cams swapped in. But even though he liked the outcome he wished he'd have just ordered a set of the TFS Twisted Wedge heads. So I recommend going that route.
