Default who would win in this race?

I have a 2000 Mustang GT.. Paxton S/C with intercooler, borla exhaust and 3.73 gears. it's a manual. It dynoed 396 RWHP... I have never ran it at the track but I do have a G-Tech and with 20 inch chrome rims (which i dont have anymore by the way, because I went back to factory 17's.. wasn't happy with the 20 after all) on the street spinning first and second gears I ran a 12.4 in the 1/4 mile @ 124 mph.. This local guy is always running his mouth to me. He has a 1985 buick regal with a small block 400.. He does have some cam work, head work, etc. It has gears.. Im not confident he spent alot of money in this car.. he might have a couple grand tied up inside the motor.. He's a cheap skate.. Would my car stand a chance against him? in a 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 mile race? Would i be better doing a rolling start or dead stop? he has narrow skinny little street tires.. I checked on that small block 400.. factory it only has like 160 HP.. He wont race me he says unless we bet a lil something.. and I hate to bet on a race I have no chance in.. And raacing at the track isn't gona happen.. he wants it on the street

lol ok.. but it's annoying.. I live in a small town.. i bump into people all the time and they tell me they've seen this guy and he was talkin bout whoopin me.. He's so hung up on beating me for some reason.. I think it's because years ago I spotted him 5 car lenghts and gave him the jump.. and I came back by and smoked him on a 2001 R6 sport bike.

Sounds pretty juvenile, bud.

lol come on guys.. where do u think racing originated? on the backroads of North Carolina!!! Im 5 minutes from the north carolina line.. Thats how alot of people do it down here in the country is a nice dead end strip.. no houses or traffic at all.. no police for MILES!! I understand yall thinkin safety first.. but im jus curious as to if it'd be a good race, he'd smoke me, etc.

were you at the drag races last night or thursday? I see your location says Doha. The bikes disappointed the **** out of me but the pro nitrous class lived up to its name. That 89 fox was ****ing insane and the flat black mustang in pro nitrous was even more insane.

DO NOT race him on the street!
Make him put his money where his mouth is. A timing slip will prove who won. That way there is no BS later when he gets back to town.

You should beat him easily if a stock '97 Trans Am beat him!?
Unless he has done a fair amoung of weight reduction, I doubt he has enough to outrun your 396rwhp Mustang. With a pair of DRs, I'd expect your car to run in the mid to upper 11's in the 1/4.

This guy sounds like a red-neck with a big mouth. I'd make him back up his talk with a run at the track. If you go, do a best of three passes. That way you pretty much know that one mistake didn't determin the whole deal. You'll know who has the faster car/driver combo then.
