04' Cobra or Boss 302?

So I have been kicking around the idea of selling my SS and either getting a 2004 Cobra or hold out and get a Boss 302. I still owe on the truck and if I try to sell it now I could potentially walk away with about $10,000 in my pocket. If I wait until it is paid off, which will be in about 18 months or so I could sell it and have close to $24,000 or more for a nice down on a Boss. I am sure they will be marking up the 302ís at the dealers so who knows what the pricing will be like then. There is plenty of low mileage Cobras out there. I would want one with low miles and unmolested. I would still keep the GT as my DD and have the Cobra for fun. So what do you think?

i vote the boss because its new, the interior is gonna be nicer, and the fact that its a boss lol

Boss 302 hands down. The new 5.0 platform has alot more potential than the 4.6 family, and they just came out. The best is yet to come with modding the coyote platform.

New boss, already has the sick intake manifold, sick suspension and paint. add some Cams and LT's and you'll have 500rwhp

Not much interested in the Laguna Seca. The standard Boss has more color options and the same track key, plus I would like to have the back seat.

Thats not even a question... Boss for sure. WAY better platform.

Boss time a billion!!! Those things are badass!!!

I think Boss wins.

While I love the New Edge, I'm not buying one again ever. The interior to me now is just wayyy too outdated now.

Boss is Boss.

....but you will be paying a lot for it. Would you consider an older 2007-2008 gt500?

SilverStallion05 03-01-2011 10:01 AM

Is this a real question? BOSS without hesitation!

It's funny but true... the 03-04 Cobra will alway be an iconic car... but being as out dated as it is... it really reduces its appeal for me.

Well hell, I guess I'll go out on a limb. I vote Termi. I love my new edge, and you can get a nice termi and not go broke or lose you're ass doing so. Plus I hate all the electronic crap they put in new cars. I like the basic interior and rugged feel of the new edge, it feels more like a real muscle car. Take the money you'd spend on a boss, put half that into a termi, and run circles around the new boss. Unless you pull in a 6 digit salary a year, I say don't go for the boss just yet. Better yet, go get the real deal, well maybe a clone, but you know you want this:

If it's just a toy and not going to be a DD, IMO get something truly old school (60's maybe early 70's). It's a TRUE muscle car, and it will only appreciate in value, provided you don't do something stupid to it (wrap it around a tree). Plus insurance is only a few hundred bucks a year. :)

New cars mean headaches.. constant recalls.. bugs that will need to be fixed..

I vote termi, it's a proven platform.

NaplesFL11GT 03-01-2011 01:57 PM

BOSS!!!

Harryman2002 03-01-2011 02:25 PM

Go with the boss! You get all that awesome performance plus a factory warranty in case something goes wrong.
