Default NEW CLUTCH INSTALLED!!!

i just got my car back from the dealership. i had the Ram HDX clutch kit installed but used a ford TOB and Pilot Bearing...got a question my clutch pedal feel has always seemed kinda short..

.and now it seems shorter..but my best friend has a 02 gt and i have late 01 gt and he has the same clutch kit as me but his clutch feels way different..like his feels longer ...like you have to push farther...mine feels ver short like 2 inches and its on the floor...

whats up with that???

thanks

Sounds like your buddies could be a pedal adjustment kit installed or cable is worn on yours.
Did you have the cable replaced?
Do you have a aftermarket cable adjustment kit installed?
These matter on pedal hieght and clutch grabbing to start.

Good Luck
PS.. Break in that clutch right

I hope when you had you new clutch installed they replaced
your clutch cable.I recommend going with the Ford OEM clutch
cable because it is the most durable to use.Do you have a aftermarket
clutch cable,clutch quadrant,and firewall adjuster?
Bet it took some thinking to come up with your opnion\answers to his question..
Do you just copy peoples opnions\answers to think you know Mustangs?
When your pictures are dealership photos or google photos of a car you say you own

Back to thread ..sorry ask your friend if he has a aftermarket adjuster, start there

Here's the instructions from the MM page, pretty comprehensive and also includes installation of quadrant and adjuster which are relatively inexpensive so you might as well do those too at the same time if you can.

^ I agree. Really should replace cable with clutch kit install for POM anyways.

As for how to tell if cable is bad,not really sure other than wear you can see or lost of play in peddle movement when push down before you feel tension.

Someone else may chime in with better example.
Good Luck !!!

I wouldnt replace it with a stock (Ford) one. Harder to adjust pedal with stock one.Go aftermarket on the quad\adjuster.You'll be happy
