Default Do motive gears make a whining noise?

I have been told to stay away from any other gears except for ones made by FRPP because everyother brand makes noise. Is this true?

Richmond are the ones that are know to whine
Motive and FRPP are basically the same and if installed correctly will have no noises

Motive actually makes some of the "FRPP" gears, sooooooo, I wouldn't worry about it. If they are installed correctly, they won't whine excessively. Anything with a higher gear ratio is going to whine more than stock though, simply because of increased friction surface. More teeth are meeting per rotation of the axles.

Ya you should tell Bill that when he made his 11 second pass with those cams that he should have crossed the line at peak power instead of his 6500 shift points lol

Getting him into the powerband will be the converters job. Once 1st gear is in tthe powerband, the car will not fall out of the powerband. But trying to go through the traps at 6400 is foolish. Almost 1000rpms over your peak.

Going through the traps at 6400 is too close to the limiter for comfort, especially for a nitrous car. Limiter means fuel cut, and if the nitrous hits that you can say good bye to that engine.

Wannabe come on, what does he know? He was only the stock block/headed N/A 2v record holder. It's not like he knows what he is doing as far as racing these cars.
