4.6L General Discussion This section is for non-tech specific information pertaining to 4.6L (Modular) Mustangs built from 1996 to 2004.

So I have a new project... Should ruffle some feathers.

The LS motors are BA for sure, but in a Mustang.... that's just wrong.

We'll have to meet up some time once I get this thing road worthy.

I'm going to use this as a build thread I guess. I'm probably gonna put the K member in this weekend and maybe lay the motor in to get some test fitting. Depends on when the trans ends up showing up. I'm putting the motor and trans in as one assembly, it's 1000x easier that way.

I'll keep this updated.

Prop man..Not the first time you see Chevy SB's in Ford's .

Look at the Model T's , 75% of the time theres a Chevy SB 350 sitting under the hood. They're cheaper to build and get great power for buck.

I myself would keep Ford with Ford and Chevy with Chevy but really this is nothing to get flammed for at all..Its your ride

Good luck with this build and I will be keep us updated .

Almost did this with my car when my motor went. Was just a little too much much money for me...but i would have loved to do it!

Good luck man. My dads car puts down around 450 n/a on a dyno jet just heads/cam/full bolt ons...so you will have one sick pony!

Ehh it happens, theres a Local guy that every Chevy fan and collector in the world wants to kill. Hes a big ford guy and he purchased an original numbers matching 427 vette thats prob worth a small fortune and put a ford drive train in it with a cobra jet. Did it just to give every corvette fan a heart attack.

Good luck with this. Im curious to see the outcome. For a lot of guys its all about what you can afford. How many times have you been at the track and seen an 8-9 second car that was a foxbody with a small block chevy on nitrous? Its a very cheap build when you consider the outcome
