why is it when i just cruise people then want to race?
It was so nice out today in the Chicagoland area so i took my stang out for a cruise and first light I get to a 96GT just floors it as soon as it turns green same thing for the next THREE LIGHTS! 1. I dont want to race. 2. my car isnt even warmed up. 3. Its MID DAY! same thing after that a classic Oldsmobile is just riding next to me and just floors it. Why does it seem like every time i just want to just drive normally and appreciate my ride people are always trying to race me ugh just annoys me. and just being curious if you guys do race at all are you the ones trying to initiate the race or do you let people come to you, and no i dont street race i learned my lesson the hard way about 4 years ago.

happens to me all the time since i got my mustang (especially after getting the exhaust). funniest one to date is a dominos delivery driver tried to race me in a purple 96 malibu. i was like really? does the light up dominos sign on top of your car give u like 200 horsepower? it was def entertaining lol. i try not to race but sometimes every blue moon it gets the best of me and i do a small pull on em but mostly i laugh

I don't have a GT so sometimes people see my car and think "oh a v6 lemme smoke it and feel better about my wife's VW"...
Gets annoying and sometimes dangerous, but I can't fix people, so its best for people like us to just go "idiot watching" as my friend calls it lol.
At the end of the day, you know you don't have to prove anything to those people, my friend.

i totally agree. i never try to start anything i kno the punishments for it and def dont wanna risk losing my car, liscenes or someones life because someone wants to show how "big" of ***** they have.
