Who has window tint on their car in PA?

30% here but it's too light imo. Never had problems but I'm going with 15% soon and I've been pulled over several times for other shlt. Make sure you get the felt/moleskin or whatever it's called so you don't get scratches

law enforcemrnt in rural counties are rough on side window tinters.
The fellow who tinted my Mustang rear and quarters and windshield mask ,plus my truck rear window .
Each visit hes removing a light tint that was applied to the sides .And he advises against it , Here anything not stricty factory clear or lite tint(factory)on the sides , they will flip a u and tag u for it .
Same reason to run a ft plate.
Seems easy to avoid that pullover esp with the window tint and missing ft plate ticket, (ruined the cruising dayz), hmmm whats that smell .

I am going to tint mine soon with 35%. My Ranger was tinted with 15% and I got pulled over with it. I had two options: 1) Take the tint off, go to a inspection station or police department and have them verify it is off, and mail in the form. 2) Pay the fine, forget how much it was but it was more then having the two side windows re-tinted with 35%.

in pa the law is zero tint on cars. if its not factory its illegal. had 30% on my probe and got a ticket. have 15% on my stang for 2 years now and no tickets. Just put your windows down if you see cops.

FYI on tint: Most factory windows already have some sore of window tint on them and if you put a light meter on them read 71% of light transmittal. So basically a piece of scotch tape would violate the law in any State that says 70% is the limit.

Needless to say I ripped it all out and this summer when I replace my rear glass, I am getting 30% or so on side and back windows and 50% for the windshield.

I have 20% all around and haven't had any issues with police in NJ. We aren't allowed any tint at all either. But i have a bunch of friends who have quite a few tint tickets. I always roll my window down.
I'll proibably never go lower than 20%. 15% would be my MAX. 5% is extremely dark and hard to see anything. At night on dimly lit streets, i can BARELY see where i am going when making a turn with the 20%... It's JUST enough for me. 5% is honestly a hassle.
At least 20% you can see the person inside, but the person looks like a shadow. 5% is pure black and just asking to be pulled over, IMO
