Default Update on the 4.10 and Team Z spherical rear suspension.

Well its been a good while since I put my rear back in with the 4.10s and the team z suspension. Upon completion the NVH wasn't unbearable just makes some noise over moderate size bumps, but I was getting an annoying driveline vibration at highway speeds. After doing some reason it seems vibration seems to peek its head out with 4.10ed rears in some cases which is strange, which I'm assuming was even more amplified by the fact the vibration dampner on the pumpkin had to be removed for bracketry for the relocated upper control arms. Well last nite I installed a fresh FRPP alum. driveshaft and VOILA virtually all the driveline vibration dissapeared and I'm alot more pleased with the setup. The NVH is not nearly as bad as expected or to what people make it to be, keep in mind this is will spherical ends all around ( well 3 ends and solid collars on the lower.) PS: Should of did 4.30s.

I need to address the DS vibration after putting in the 4.30's. Around 80 it feels like the car is falling apart. Good to hear another story about the Aluminum DS fixing the problem. Maybe that should be my next upgrade

That's up there on my to-do list. Just peaked underneath my car and saw that my tranny rear main AND my pinion seal are seeping. Figured I'd kill three birds with one stone when I get the DS.

Three reasons I went with an alum DS
1. reduce vibration
2. less weight
3. stronger U-joints

Yep def more bennies than just the vibration, the only NVH from the team z stuff now is when u hit bumps it makes a little clunk/knock out back but thats about it.

uber, what trans are you using?

Im trying to track down a vibration myself. my alum shaft and stock shaft are not the culprits as i have tried both now.

I figured I'd send my d-shaft out to get balanced. It only vibrates after ~100mph, but it feels like the car is coming apart lol
