Default Type of exhaust and H or X pipe

I want to put an h or x pipe on my car. I have magnaflow exhaust but i bought the car with it already on. Besides finding out if it is a short or a long, is there anything else that I need to know about the exhaust before selecting a pipe? Also does anyone have an x or h on magnaflow exhaust and if so how do you like it? I am looking for a deeper throatier sound. Thanks

OP,
How old are you?
I suspect that most guys older than mid-twenties, that have outgrown the LOUD AS POSSIBLE phase, would go with either a high flow cat mid-pipe to reduce the volume or at least an O/R H-pipe to cut down on the raspiness of the sound.

Just my 45 year old opinion... LOL

If you do get an X get a true X and the clam shell style.

Loud as possible would be o/r x-pipe with Pypes muffler delete or LM1's.

Unless of course he ran open mid pipe or straight pipes lol.
