Saleen vs Cobra

Saleen vs Cobra
hey guys, need a little help. trying to decide between a '99-'04 S281sc or an '03-'04 Cobra. I already know the cobra is better and can handle more mods w/the forged internals and so on, but i've always had a thing for the Saleen. in reality i'm probably not going to dump a ton of $ into mods shooting for 700-800hp.
i guess what i'm asking is how much can an S281c handle before it's too much? can i get near 500hp in a Saleen or should i just go Terminator?

I say it depends. If you are happy with 420ish HP and love the saleen, I say go for it. I dont think its always about which car is more powerful or which car is faster, but which car you like better.
FOr example, I was considering a Mach 1, 03-04 Cobra, or 02-04 Z06. For pure performance and power, the right choice would be 02-04 Z06 but the Termi is the car that just has something about it that I want.
The situation that finally made up my mind that I was going to get a Cobra was, if I was in a Z06 and I saw a Cobra, I would be jealous...and not vice versa.
Another peice of advice is never settle for a car. Be patient and keep looking. I settled for getting an '08 Mustang GT, which was an awesome car but after a couple years, it wasnt the Cobra and everyday, I contemplated selling it to get a Cobra.
If you want the saleen, GO FOR IT. It might not be faster or can handle as much power, but if you can walk into your garage everyday and see the car and have no regrets...thats the car you want...

Its what you desire more, both are great cars and I wouldnt turn either down.
Of course the Termi is better but also comes with a bigger price tag

It really is up to you.
Personally, I'd take a mid 400 hp Saleen over a 500+ hp Terminator. To me the Saleen wins out in the looks and handling department (stock for stock). They are a great street car and a real head turner.

you guys are great and have given me lots of good opinions and info to think about.
In a perfect world, i'd have an orange '04 Termi. However, as I'm sure most of you know, they're almost impossible to find and if you do, it's going to be about $10K more than other Cobras. I know I'd be happy to have a mid 400hp Saleen(especially if i could find a comp orange one)....until I got walked on by another car.
