Look up Paulie's jeep on youtube and you'll see what the SRT 8 jeeps are capable of with some work. Back when it just had the vortech he was beating everyone in everything around the Antelope Valley. Really cool guy, if you can message on youtube i'm sure he would be happy to tell you about the SRT 8.

The wife wanted to trade the trailbazer ss for the jeep after we test drove one of those jeeps. But the asking price of the jeep was a nogo. Both are fast for being an suv. But the best I could get out of our stock tb ss was a14.4. 96mph it woulda ran faster if it didn't have a huge speaker box and over a half of tank of gas in it. But the jeep will outrun the tb ss for sure but the jeep is smaller on the inside by a lot and the tb can still tow up to 6000pounds and there are quite a few things that can be done to that ls2 to squeeze quite a bit of power from it that's clearly known from seeing what goes on with the pre ls3 vettes and the 05 and 06 gto. But if we could do it again I think we would have gotten the jeep from the start instead of the ss. And mileage on th tb was 14city and 19highway but guzzles gas when you floor it.

The SRT8 Jeeps are nasty.

Of course fuel economy blows nuts on those things....but have you ever seen one shoot out the hole in person? Jesus.
