ok guys, a guy locally is sellin an x3, he said he doesnt have a ford anymore and wants to get rid of it.. He said its unlucked, and ready to rock, however he doesnt have the box, any of the papers, or the data cable. Said I can plug it in and make sure it works and saves the tunes to my car and everything. I'm looking at newhandhelds because my handheld from hypertech does its job, but its pretty vague, and wont let me turn off my o2 sensors for catless exhaust. Guy says he just wants to get rid of it, so is this a decent model from sct? or is it pretty plain like my hypertech max energy? I see that the ones from american muscle is an sf3/x3 what are the differences? I think I can get this thing for $100 bucks or so.

Don't buy it , buy mine, I have 3 Brenspeed tunes on it for a 2010 gt plus the stock tune. I no longer have the car will let go cheap. Pm me!

AKA its locked so its no better than what he's currently looking at. Do your research first bud.

OP: I just bought a locked one for $50. It will cost another 150 to get it unlocked. I'm willing to bet the one that you are looking at will be locked too. Go through the menu to device info and see if it says that the device is married. If it does, than it is locked. You are also limited to how many times you can unlock it so check that out as well. You should be able to find that in the same menu. Good luck!
