I run a pretty similar build through a built auto...
I'm running a SI at the moment but pushing close to 20psi
I also run 93 octane with meth (not sprayed yet)
Other than that, pretty much close to the same build
I push out 516 at 5800rpms due to a converter/computer issue, when i can bring it up to 6500 I'm shooting for 550rwhp, then on meth I'm expecting to be close to 600rwhp through an auto, so I would sure hope he would be at 700rwhp
I'm considering swapping to a JT/YSI soon, let me know what he thinks
Also, intercool'd? 8/10 rib conversion, cog? what blower pulley? what crank pulley?

What pulley setup are you running?

I would say he should easily be 700+rwhp

He'll probably be north of 550rwhp...

yes it is intercool'd, 8 rib setup, He's gonna try a 2.8 blower with his stock crank pulley and depending how much boost that makes, he'll swap to an o/d balancer if needed.

your build is something like what I want when i get my motor in my car. would a v2strim at say 20lbs produce similar numbers to yours? I'm not sure if an SI is better than a v2 strim, or what not.

8 rib, 2.95 blower pulley, 10% od crank pulley = but i'm spinning the hell out of my SI

Honestly, he should go with a bigger crank pulley before going through the trouble of putting the stock one on first. No matter how small you go with the blower pulley, you will NEED a bigger crank with the YSI to even make it start to breathe a little. Just some numbers for ya, if taking the car to 6500 rpms, using the 2.8, using the stock crank = spinning the blower 54,000 impellar speed. Thats what you should be looking at in these blowers is impellar speeds. The YSI is rated for 65,000. Those impellar speeds he should be running an SI/T Trim, not even close to a YSI. The SI/T would be more efficient and probably produce better numbers/results than that big old YSI on that pulley setup. In order to get into that 65,000 impellar speed range, he will have to run ATLEAST a 15% crank, 2.7 blower pulley, and taking it to the same 6500 rpm on the dyno will only still be spinning the YSI at 62,000. Which in that case, he should look into the JT trim. Just some food for thought, lots of guys get these monster blowers and wonder why they dont push out what they want, and its because they dont realize that they are a race blower and how much you have to spin them to even benefit over S/SI/T trims.

You will be WAY overspinning an S trim at 20psi. That thing will heatsoak like crazy. MY SI is honestly pretty much maxed out the way it is, and I would say if your looking to be in the 20psi range look into a T/JT trim. But again, dont get carried away by psi....worry about impellar speed. A JT is rated at 60,000. What would your pulley combo be and I can help ya figure out what headunit would be the most efficient for ya

just keep in mind he said they were gonna spin it way higher than 6500...

as long as it's still making power past 6500 rpm then it will be spun that high. not sure how these cams are gonna like the high rpms tho so we'll have to see. I was somewhat under the impression that the jt/ysi were very similar blowers.

Knowing all this i'm sure he'll swap to an o/d balancer depending on how high he takes it. it will most deffinitely be ran with the strim at first, so we'll get to figure out how high he can take the motor, then figure out the pulley combo to make good power. he is not chasing a number. the more horsepower the better no matter how high it is, as long as it's under 1000 lol.
