The other issue with the bigger cams he had to retard them back to 113ICL to get them to clear the piston, the Stage 2 cams are in at 110 like it all should be.

Don't know the boost for that graph but probably around 15lbs I would think. Last few times he has been running it at only 9lbs as the tranny is looking to go south but it still pulled 11.3@120MPH in Florida summer heat on the 9lbs at 3600+lbs.

I am doing something very similar that you are doing. Building an engine from the oil pan up with forged internals and what not. Only difference is that i am going with an eaton from a gt500. Lemme know how your swap goes!

i should be starting a build thread soon. im debating weather or not to go ahead and forge the short block or not. i know it would be easier while its already out but idk. i'll be around 425 rwhp. i picked up a mark 8 engine today with 85,000 miles. when the tear down begins, we'll see about the internals

You should prolly just forge it. If you spend the time looking, you can get good deals. I got a fresh machined romeo block with main bearing for free just paid shipping, 200 for manley h beam rods, a forged crank for 250 shipped. Just take your time looking for deals. I should hopefully be putting out 550-600 hp. Thats what everyone else is getting with the m122 superchargers on a 4.6, but I hopefully will upgrade the cams, valves and valve springs to ford gt components. So I should get a few extra hp from those. Just take your time building it and get everything needed oncve. Itll be cheaper and more rewarding in the end.

Ford GT cams are a waste of money, better off with 96-98 Cobra cams.

GT cams have less duration than any of the 4.6 cams.

What I said above, also advance the intake cam to 108 ICL and it will make a ton more power.

I would PM NA SVT over on Corral and ask him. The guy knows his stuff and would be able to help you.
