Thanks harry!

I was talking to a guy that works at a smog test only, and he said if I want to make it all legal I have to talk to a smog referee at a community college in my area about the planned mods and if he oks everything, I wont need a visual inspection. Just have to pass the actual test.

Just got the electric water pump. Looks like itll work perfectly. Has a really wide idler pulley which will be good for the 10 rib belt ill be using. Still waiting for the GT500 harmonic balancer.

Do any of you know the difference between the fuel rails on a gt to a cobra, or are they the same?

All I need is some valve covers and ill be able to start making the adapter plate. Im gonna go down to a local junkyard and pick up some accessories like alternator a/c compressor and p/s pump so i can make sure everything will line up.

I would think the p/s and ac would be the same, but the alternator will be different from the 2v to the 4v.

The reason I need the accessories is to line it up with the gt500 harmonic balancer. The 6 rib pulley is offset so I will need to make brake for all the accessories so they can be lined up with the balancer.

Im still waiting for the harmonic balancer from ebay. The guy isnt responding to any pms and I havent seen anything showing that hes shipped it yet, or Id be working on the adapter plate and what not.

You can run a smaller rib belt on a larger rib pulley. For example, when I did my 5.4 swap, half my pulleys were 8 rib and the other half were 6. I ran a 6 rib belt and found the notch on each 8 rib pulley that kept the belt in line.

Ya I know, but I need a minimum 8 rib belt for the s/c to prevent slipping and for the right size harmonic balancer Id have to go with a innovators west and those are over $400. PLus itll be fun adapting all the parts to a dual belt setup and will look somewhat stock.

Also, the guy selling the harmonic balancer to me finally sent me a tracking number. Should be here on thursday. Also, I bought some valve covers off of a corral member. So as soon as I get these parts, I can start making the adapter plate.

Well i got the harmonic balancer and smooth 10 rib pulleys for the tensioner and idler. I am still trying to find a 10 rib ribbed pulley with a bearing in it for the other idler needed. Il get a pic up of the 10 rib serpentine system up once I get a 3 bolt tensioner and a ribbed idler pulley. If you guys know of any place to find one of these, please let me know.
