Default took some weight out today

well i am going to start taking weight out of my car. you know the free mod.

today i took out the little black plastic/ rubber boxes out of the rear wheel well area, took the boxes out and the brackets it was attached to, 2 brackets on each side. took the ugly dog bone off the rear end also. with all the bolts i took off 20 lbs off the car. yesterday i took out the spare tire and the jack and all the hardware, that weighed 31 lbs.. so far i took off 51 lbs. my goal is to remove 200 lbs total.that would give me 1.4 tenths in the 1/8 mile and about 2 tenths in the 1/4. then i will buy some light weight 15x10 s on the rear and 15x 3 1/2 in the front.that should be about another 30 lbs their over my 18x10 s and 18x8s. the go fast bug has bitten me. lol

Good job. Going to lighter wheels will make the biggest difference, as you're getting into rotational weight at that point.

The boxes are probably for NVH. most random rubber or plastic pieces are for that purpose.

What boxes are you talking about? Could you take a picture? I didn't see what you were talking about
