Vortech oil pressure question
Just went out to meet my friend and we went out for a quick pull so after I look at my oil pressure went over 100 psi when just normally driving. So at idle it sits at about 60 psi or so. I restarted it after I parked and the gauge read 30 about which I was told is normal. Is it bad that my pressure is reading that high

ok an update i turned it back on after about 15 minutes, it idled around 30-40 psi, cruising home between 45-55 it was about 50-60 psi, and then when lightly accelerating i was about 70psi. I think its just me freaking out so any input would be great lol

Was the engine hot when you saw the higher pressures? If so then the relief valve in the oil pump may have been sticking/stuck...
[edit]
At what engine rpms are you seeing these pressures, what weight oil are you running?

yeah it was hot when i saw it, when it was over 100 i was just cruising under 2000 rpm probably around or a little under 1500, when i was driving home after letting it sit I was around 1500 or so, cruising at 55 with 4.10s. My rpm gauge is off by a little (thanks to the reverse glow gauges from am taking a **** on me). Last oil change i did I put in 5w30, im not 100 percent sure if the shop that installed my supercharger changed it when tapping the pan or anything. i emailed them to see if they did and what oil they used.
edit: Its hard to tell since my rpm gauge is off, and this is after a few hard pulls
