Default Gauge Sweep on startup??

Is there a way to make the gauges sweep every time you turn your car on? I know the thing where you can hold the trip reset button down and do it from there but is there any way it can be done every time automatically? I heard that you can pull a fuse. Which fuse?

Thanks.

Why?

You could also install a dead battery, that will cause the gauges to sweep

I heard Honda's do it. But really, if you wanna make your gauges sweep, buy a blower.

OP, if you insist then it's fuse 2.21 (5A). However note that puling this fuse will also cause the KAM to be cleared each time you turn off the engine.

Meaning the PCM will have to relearn, and will never retain or refine over the long term, all of the adaptive control parameters. Among other things this will negatively affect idle stability, fuel economy, and performance when running in open loop.

If you really, really want to impress others with your banality then try cutting the red/white wire at pin 10 of C220b at the instrument cluster. I do not know for certain that this will cause the gauges to sweep, as I do not know if that is commanded by the PCM via the SCP bus, or a function of HEC micro-controller. If the latter they should sweep at start-up with no other ill-effects.

Makes me want to delete my above message--the fact that Honda's do it is the best reason I can think of for not having a Mustang do it...
