Penzoil Synchromesh; who runs it?
#11
The liner actually refers to the blocker rings, in a t45 that is stock the blocker rings are composed of a paper/organic liner, when the synchromesh fluid is used the additives in the synchromesh actually increase the deteroation of the liners. Aftermarket "Built" transmission or some more modern transmissions use a carbon/kevlar liner for the blocker rings where the synchromesh will be suitable.

I actually bought 4 quarts of RP synchromesh before i researched it, then I found that and never put it in. I mean who knows how long it would even take to mess up the liner, but i decided just stick with the ATF cause my wallet cant afford to find out right now especially considering the mileage on my t45.
