Default Really dumb question about lighting on the locks/window switches

Do they light up? haha

Mine never have and it's impossible to find the buttons at night. I'm thinking something is messed up with my car. What could cause this? What fuse runs those lights does anyone know?

They are not illuminated--I must confess I have never had any difficultly identifying them by feel...

I to have never had a problem finding them. What are your arms like 2in long I don't see why you would have to look to hit those buttons. I have never had to look @ the buttons before hitting them in any car I have ever driven. Even rentals. the buttons are engineered to be in the most ergonomic position

Hilarious!

I've never had a problem either but I have wondered why they didn't make them to light up.

Yeah, we also had a 97 expedition in the family with the illuminated window switches.

If you want illuminated ones maybe you could find a junker Ford vehicle that has them and try to rig something or at least see how it works if you take stuff apart.

I don't have a problem it just takes me a few seconds to feel around for the right button and to hit it in the right direction.

I have a few switches from my explorer actually that used to light up (rolled it haha). I wonder if they would work and if they would light up if I just plugged them in, if they would even plug right in. I know the drivers side panel won't work since it was for the 4 door, but maybe I can rig something up; the buttons look the same.

EDIT: NVM just realized the older style buttons were bigger.
