In my opinion I would leave cams until the end. I could just be getting old, but I like to my power through boost so I can maintain the stock-ish driveability of the car.

i have a set of mhs stage 1 blower cams in my new motor (not in yet). i bought the stage 1 because i have a stock heads going on with stock valves. so no need to go more aggressive.
yeah exactly, nicks grinds are more aggressive than other companies. His stage 1s are similar to CMS's 2's. But at the same time, you need to make sure you will have clearance (I think his 1's you dont need anything except springs, his 2's you may need modified intake valves if not notched pistons)

I'm running MHS stage 2 blower cam without notched pistons, zero issue
