Trick Flow 75mm throttle body and plenum,:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/trickf...um-9604gt.html

With my review:

"Installation was straight forward, except my EGR (Exhaust gas return) valve was stuck on with a stripped bolt. When going WOT there is a noticeable gain in pickup (~10HP) but below 4000 RPMs the only benefit is the increased throttle response. Along with some of the other reviewers, I had to drill out the throttle cable slot on the new throttle body to get the throttle cable re-installed."

The 70mm would be effective as well, as long as you're not running FI.

I'd put that money towards a set of gears...

I have a BBK 75mm- Trickflow plenum, got for 100 bucks used, I would rather have gears first.

I noticed a slight increase around 3800 (minimal) and it seemed to tighten up the cable or took 1/8th of an inch slack out which creates a stiffer gas pedal and quicker throttle response.

Cheers

I've read the same things around here too, gears should be #1. If you get the gear/tuner combo from AM then that'll help when you finally upgrade the TB & plenum and you can change the tune.

Seems like you're coming up with a ton of questions I had the past few months, check out this group of threads if you haven't already:

https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...ted-often.html

And look at this one (shout out to CliffyK) directly for your TB questions (basically, you only need to upgrade the plenum):

is it true what they say, any mm over 70 without a SC is pointless? says that the intake dosent get enough air to benifit from the 75mm 80mm...?

I got the 75mm TB bc of the fact I may install a SC in the future. It definitely didn't decrease the performance, even though I'm running NA.

What are your future plans for the car?

I think AM has a deal where you have unlimited tunes, if so, I'd get the turner first and just keep ordering a custom tune for each upgrade you do.

- Short shifter - I've heard nothing but great things about MGW shifter, but I bought this one for $70 and I love it over the stock shifter: http://www.americanmuscle.com/t5-t45...stomer-reviews
- Headers - Most do the long tube headers (install is a pain) with a shorty H or X (more raspy) mid-pipe. Check out youtube videos or local meet ups where you can compare.
- After looking around, it's not much more for a coil over setup which is a MUCH better ride for a DD and adjustable which is great. Check out the maximum motorsport packages and search for any thread made by Jazzer, lol.
- CC Plates = http://www.americanmuscle.com/maximu...tes-94-04.html
- Should include FLSFC - http://www.americanmuscle.com/maximu...onnectors.html
- I dunno anything about Cams, lol. Maybe someday!
