A comparison of trap speeds with and without nitrous will give a very good indication of how much power you are gaining with the spray. How big of a shot are you running? Is it a wet kit? What size jets are you running for fuel and nitrous?

I feel like your set-up is not optimized and with a little more info we may be able to help you run a bit better...
Hey I'm new at performance and am willing to learn, I have a stock 1999 35th anni...Mustang GT 4.6L, automatic. I going to purchase a nitrous kit and don't have a clue on what I need to get up to speed with these new 5.0L engines. Give me the facts and I'll purchase the best products out there. I want to make her scream, that is a gentle scream, but at least have something for these 2012 motors.

What do I need for a good road set up to play with these 5.0L engines. I have a stock 1999 Mach 1, 4.6L, help me guys I have a grudge to settle with my 5K car against a 45K 2012. I know with your knowledge we can get it done. I'm not a mechanic but I have totally overhauled and engine before so I'm not stupid. You tell me what I need and I'll buy it and give you the credit as deserved. I have wanna prove a point to these goobers on the road. I can't run with the big dogs but I'm gonna. Help Me?

Ford didn't make Mach1's in 1999...

If it is a 1999 GT, you will need a lot more power to run with a new 5.0. I would not focus on trying to run with a 5.0. Just improve your car and enjoy it.

The troll hair on the back of my neck is standing up.

Well shows how much I know about performance, I thought I could at least compete with a stock 5.0L if I put a little nitrous on it.

mach 1000 or mach 460 sound system, but your car is not a mach1. 03/04 was the mach1. 99 is just the anniversary edition as you're well aware of.

And honestly, if you know as much about nitrous as you do your ''99 mach1 because the door panel says it is one''... then it isnt the power adder for you. Too many rules and variables you need to know before you go tossing the juice in there and popping your motor to pieces

Thanks for the criticing but it's good feedback I'm sure you are not as sarcastic in person. This is my first Mustang but I have a lot to learn. I'll keep reading and gather knowledge along and along.

Thanks I'll take your advice and just play around with her. Sure is alot run of room under the hood for something maybe a turbo addition what you think. I saw where I can get turbo system for $1500 w/installation which includes dyno tuning. Do you think I'm still wanting for to much.

Want to know how to get your pony to run with the new 5.0L? First off, start your own thread. People would be a lot happier helping you out and can focus on your specific questions better.

Just my opinion though.

Hint: Kenne Bell should put you in the ball park with the new 5.0's
