very cool man thanks if i ever save up that much i might just have to do that. but dont think a vortech would be a good first purchase for my bone stock mustang lol i dont even have cai so it might be a long long time unless i could bolt it up stock. what you think?

Do not, I repeat do not waste your money on your car with bolt on's except maybe gears. Sad to say New Edges respond horribly to bolt ons. This does not have to be done at this moment. If you start now, you should be able to piece together a S/C or even a turbo charged car by next summer..GL!

i think you guys are viewing it wrong if you're comparing this to the "1500 dollar supercharger" thread. that thread doesn't include things like injectors which the op added in, maf, bov, intercooler, etc.

that other thread doesn't include it in there, but the injectors, maf, are all necessary. bov and intercooler are a very good idea.

I got my blower complete fuel pump MAF and everything even a powerpipe for $1700 and then i bought a I/C for 300 so i got mine for $2000 then $700 for some good tunes.

And i 100% agree with solider, dont waste money on other bolt ones till you build a motor. My blower was the last thing i have done to my car and it definitely should of been the first

Probably a stupid question but I'll be the one to ask. Are the head units interchangeable? For instance, can you buy any V1,V2,V3 etc and just find the mounting brackets and all that goes with your car?

greedy once again speaks the truth. I posted this thread because I had every bolt on under the sun (except a turbonator, lol). I gained maybe 15 hp and spent with labor right at around 1500 bucks. As you can tell the 3 v's with just a cai and tune they can add a extra 35 hp +. New Edges you're lucky to get 8 rwhp.

the brackets are all the same. any v1 strim/ttrim, v2 strim/si/sq, v3 si and even the v7 ysi. so basically buy one bracket once and you're set.

Has anyone had issues running a Vortech in the winter? I would be installing on a DD in NY and I'm concerned about the changing tolerances, as it approaches 0 degrees F sometimes.

I personally havent. I dont remember the exact reasons he stated but on another forum Jivepepper was saying that the v2 and v3 would have more problems in the cold winters over the v1.
