Default S/C on a budget...

Gents, I posted this info about a year ago. I'm doing it again mainly for the new members. Kerns talked me into it and helped me with my build (once again it's much appreciated). Before you guys think about buying the basic bolt on's you might want to give this a try. Believe me this can be done. I did it while deployed to Afghnastain. Took me 4 months but I got it done. Pls see below. It has the part, purchase price and where I bought it from. GL!

Vortech V1 T-Trim Head unit-700.00---- SVT Forums
Anderson Power Pipe--150.00---Corral.net
3.48 pulley--40.00---Corral.net

Tial Bov---220.00--JDsperformance
CX Rcing Intercooler (Complete kit)--210.00-- CX Racing (Ebay)
Seimens 42lb injectors--210.00--CorraL.net
HPX 05 Slot Maf--175.00--Kerns found this one for me..
Vortech mounting bracket--50.00-- Member of MF
Vortech mounting bracket hardware kit--95.00--superchargersonline
Oil Feed line--24.00--Vortech
Oil Feed Drain--24.00-- Vortech
SVT Fuel Pump-95.00-Member of MF
S/C belt--36.00---Summit Racing
NGK TR6 Plus--26.00---Auto Zone
Vortech Rib metal idler pulley ( 2.60", 6 rib)+Vortech 6 Rib Smooth Plastic Pulley (3"Lip)---85.00---JDsperformance
Stock Pulleys--30.00--- Corral.net

Total Cost: $2170.00

Didn't quite reach the $1500.00 Supercharger build but I think I did pretty good. Could have even been cheaper if I hadn't bought the Power Pipe, Tial Bov and went with smaller injectors. Any questions guys let me know..

Here is mine for comparison. This is before the HPX slot MAF and intercooler setup which puts about another $700 on top of this. You also have to remember your tune which bumps up the cost. Overall I think I am at a little under $4000 which is still not bad IMO.

I lucked out and found a V1 S trim kit complete and brand new for $2500 so the list is

V1 S trim $2500
instrumnt cluster pod $74
lightning maf $89
prosport boost/vac gauge $48
prosport fuel pressure gauge $49
Tune $400
spark plugs $20
6 qts Fresh oil $18

TOTAL $3198

plan on running MHS stage 1 blower cams sooner or later so that will be $595 cams+ $250 instal $175 retune so in the longrun by choice(blower cams) that will bring me up to $4218
