I was going to go with the SLP catted xpipe. It all sounds good in the end.

Hey guys I have the stock H pipe and piping ran out the back on my 07 GT and I was wondering what if anything will be gotten out of changing it? Also I am looking to take the cats off here in the future and put in a O2 tap to avoid the check engine light. But my question is will I have to get the valves re-done to compensate for the loss in back pressure?

Thanks,
David

No, simply removing the cats will not affect the valves.

go with the upr its prob less expensive. I got mine off of lethalperformance for i think 150 or so. I fits like a glove the only thing you need to do is change out your driverside manifold studs. When i did mine it the factory studs had a stopper mid way through the bolt which led to an exhaust leak, so then i bought new studs and the upr x pipe fits awesome with no leaks

If you haven't already bought one...keep in mind that the SLP X pipe can be used with both stock headers and longtubes. SLP makes theirs so that a section of pipe can be unbolted and removed for use with their longtubes. I've had their X on my 02 GT for over 3 years now and have never had any problems. I used it with stock headers and now have the SLP longtubes matched up to it. Only thing I will say is that SLP's stuff seems to hang lower than most other brands.
