I think it was in a MM & FF mag they did it in a 97 cobra.. I'll look around the house and see if I can find it and give you the article title.. I know people have done it in a new edge, and even one in a bullitt.

People have done it and there is a lot of **** and fabricating involved...you will end up 10k deep into that motor and make 400 rwhp. Just build a 4.6 and throw some boost at it.

Yea, I mean...a built 2v will be plenty.

Im still on stock heads/cams and stock bottom end ...made 440 through an auto and will ran high 10s/ low 11s.

How fast do you really want to go? lol

Agree with many of the above

I was considering the Coyote motor for my swap this winter, but was CA smog issues that turned me away. I am only looking for a max of around 400 HP, so it would have been great, but some pretty serious fabrication stuff needed, as Justin has said. It runs a dry-sump, electric power steering pump and with 11:1 compression, not soo great to run a blower.

Much better off with a Termi motor from Ford, as it is pretty much a direct drop-in and go way beyond the Coyote for a lot less $$$

Default thanks for the insight

thanks for the insight guys really appreciate the help. I think I will get the 03-04 termi and use that. I have worked on alot of stangs and vetts doing alot of retarded **** like dropping an ls9 into an 85 vette. the idea for the car is a car that is a daily driver still but will tear it up at the track and still be a showpiece at car shows.

For a 5.0 out of a wrecked car with engine control pack from FRPP and bolt-on's you'd be at 450rwhp(seen it done). And there are a fair amount of people running blowers and moderate boost on the stock compression. The higher compression allows for better driveability from my point of view. Personally, I'd rather have a new 5.0 and have $10-15k in it than a termi swap. Newer technology, better fuel economy, and the ability to rev over 7k rpm stock, no brainer for me. I've personally changed my mind from wanting a terminator to a new 2011+. All around better car and a lot more potential.

Better off buying a 2011+ then ending up 15k deep into a motor build for a car worth 5k.

I'll +1 that. I was going to say it, but I figured I'll let someone else point it out first.
