switching my 98 gt 4.6 with a coyote 5.0
ok so as the title says looking to switch my 98 gt's 4.6 with the 2011 gt's coyote 5.0. is it even worth it or is there a better replacement motor that would give me good results? looking to do a full rebuild on the car, as in new motor trans supercharger body interior new guages the works pretty much so is the 5.0 coyote worth it or are there better engines for the 98 that require less work.
also what problems am I likely to run into doing the switch.

You still need things to make that a swap into your car. Sense you say your going to S/C your car I would look for a 03/04 Cobra engine to swap into your car. People have everything you need for the swap all together on ebay all the time

Doubt the 99-01 cobra intake would work. Also, I think the swap is a good idea. Might want to source a motor out of a wrecked car or get a built motor from someone like MMR off the bat as the internals in the new 5.0's are only good for about 600rwhp or so, which with a blower is real easy to get. Plus, you'll actually be saving some weight off the front of the car as well. I havent researched how much a 2v motor weighs, but swapping a coyote motor into a fox saves weight over a typical 302 from what my friend's numbers have come up with. Best of luck with what you choose to do my friend!

from a cost perspective you will never win against a built motor and a vortech. But a coyote powered sn95 would be sweet and fairly easy, so it just depends if you willing spend the extra $$ on the 5.0 which in the long run has more potential if you want numbers over 700rwhp ( not saying the 2v cant make 700rw, just saying its easier to get a 5.0 there.) or if you jut want 400-550rwhp the 4.6/vortech might be a better idea
