Question Advice on lowering my 00 GT

Im going to lower my 2000 Mustang GT and I have a budget of around 350$- 400$. I plan to do the work on my own. I've read and heard that Eibach springs sportline kit work good, that they don't affect ride quality as much. Any advice on what springs to buy? Or should I go with coil overs?
Thanks

just keep in mind if you lower your car much lower than 1.5 in you will need aftermarket caster camber plates to get a proper alignment. also you should look into aftermarket shocks and struts if you plan to go that low.

Yeah, im planning around 2 inches in the rear and around 1.7 in the front. Would keeping stock shocks and struts cause a problem?

Totally agree. I found out the hard way on that one. My two front tires lasted about 7 mths and they were brand new!

This^ for your price range. Maybe look for used C/C plates...

The D-Specs will be out of your price range, but it's something to save up for.

Everybody seems to be missing the stated budget here..... $350~$400 is just not going to get you much past a set of new springs To keep the ride/handling decent, shocks/struts are needed and CC plates to address alignment, if desired.

V8... what are the ULTIMATE goals for your ride?

Yup, JAZZER is on target as usual.
That budget just isn't going to get this project done. It will require saving funds a little longer to acquire the components he needs. With that much drop, he will need some good struts, CC Plates at a minimum.

Are you dropping it just for looks, or are you truly interested in improving the handling?
If handling is the goal, you probably don't want to drop it 2". Tell us more about what you want to do with the car and more specific advice may be available.

It is not worth trying to take short-cuts on suspension upgrades. It is better to save longer and do it "right."
