a somewhat off-topic question, but still regarding fuel injectors, I am trying to find 24# injectors for my stang, which I'm pretty sure are EV6 style injectors. when I went to americanmuscle, i checked out the ford racing 30# injectors (since thats the closest they have that are FRPP) and they are labeled as EV6, yet also Jetronic, which, according to their EV1 to EV6 adapters, would indicate that they are EV1, since EV6 injectors are USCAR! I know there just must be a typo somewhere, but thats a pretty costly typo if they end up not fitting on someones application because of this mislabeling. or perhaps they have a Jetronic adapter???? Man I'm confused!

Anywho, I found some 24#'s at JEGS that are EV6 with the USCAR connector, will these fit my 02???

you will need the EVE1 style injectors. 03-04 cobras and 05+ mustangs are EVE6. you can run EVE6 injectors if you have the the adaptors.

Brothers Perf had 24# FRPP EV6 listed with the correct connectors. I don't think the EV6 necessarily has the USCAR connectors.

Recently, I think it was CLIFFY that had posted somewhere regarding the connector types and EV6/EV1. It may have been in a spark plug change thread if anyone wants to search for it.

I found the post from CLIFFY that I was thinking about and it reads as follows...

EV1 and EV6 are body styles, the connectors can be either Jetronic/Minitimer or USCAR--our cars use the Jetronic/Minitimer connector.



Therefore, the body style does not determine the connector type. The 24# FRPP EV6 injectors can be had with the correct connector style for pre-2002 cars.

ahh so i can use an EV6 with a Jetronic connector, not a typo on american muscle. good to know! man, you really think they would have more tech articles on injectors...

edit: as a sidenote, those 24#'s are hard to find, think i will go with the 30s since they cover a broader range of hp & are much easier to find
