Ever considered a set of snow tires for the winter? Switch over to summer tires when the snow melts.... probably your best option if you're going to have to deal with the kind of winter weather you get in Chicago.

I had a set of BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDWS on my mustang when I DD'd it. They weren't too bad for being an "all-season" tire. They handled snow fine, not so much with ice though. Might look into the BFGoodrich g-force Super Sport A/S if you really want to go with the all season tire.

yea i was looking at the BFGoodrichs. the 315's look nasty as hell tho i might just get those and get some schitty snow tires for next winter. I plan on having the tires installed by mid march i just cant wait tho. thanks everyone for your opinions ill post pics when they are mounted

A wide tire and snow is a very bad combo. Heck I have snow tires in stock size and I still can't move anywhere in the snow. I keep the thing parked.

But 315/35/17 for sure.

Nitto 555 or nt05. As long as it doesn't have an r after the model #, they are not drag radials.

There are a ton of non-drag-radials available in 315/35-17. Are you sure you looked?

That said, if I lived in snow and drove a Mustang (as insane as that is), I'd have some more appropriate tires mounted on skinny wheels for winter.
