The car is in the shop & the mechanic said he thinks it maybe the coil on cylinder #5... all the spark plugs were replaced maybe a year ago & before I put it away for winter I actually had a code come on they replaced my plug in I think #4 the plug wasn't bad even that bad but it threw a code & after they replaced that plug never had another code come on put the car still wasn't running right (they checked the rest then) & now again.... it's not the plugs.. I bought two new MSD's on ebay for $30 figured it won't hurt to have a back up if this doesn't do anything but I'm not paying the mechanic to replace it so I wanted to get it myself....

figured if it's something to do with the coil which I really doubt since I know what it feels like when they fail (had 4 go out within a year) a few years back then the car was fine & when I started having these issues I replaced the boots on those four & bought four more with new plugs ugh this car is driving me crazy four/five mechanics late & "since I'm not getting a code/ the problem is intermittent no one can seem to tell me.. the place it's at not is better than taking it to the dealer yet they can't tell me I'm not wasting time & more money taking it to Ford

My Abs light did the same thing, somehow the electrical line came out of place that connects to the abs sensor on the hub came loose and the tire wore through it. Spliced the wires and re attached with 0 problems after. I have also heard of the ABS sensor breaking, Good Luck!
