I actually had a similar thing happen to me but I caught it in time.

I shredded a belt and it sliced the oil feed line....I noticed white smoke pouring off my car so I pulled over and saw a massive puddle of oil forming.

I actually thought I blew a hole in my block but luckily it was just the oil line and I didnt do any damage to the motor.

Back in the day I had an '88 4-cylinder. Took it in for an oil change. Got about 10 miles down the road when I could tell something wasn't right. Pulled over and checked, it had no oil in it. They emptied it and didn't refill it! It had a busted oil gauge so I didn't notice it immediately. I was lucky, I put oil in and it seemed to be ok, though it did die about a year later, possible it damaged it then and started its demise...

But anyway, sorry you weren't as lucky!! We all share your pain!

That totally sucks!! On the bright side, now you will be more motivated to rebuild and add a few extras. Hope it goes quick.....I was without wheels for * months after the timing chain slipped/broke on my explorer and caused a valve to meet the top of a piston
