Default Uhoh... there goes my alignment...

So I'm a bit embarrassed to explain, simply because it makes me feel like an inferior driver. Getting passed that--let me explain what happened. They are doing quite a bit of construction where I live and laying down massive amounts of sand and lose gravel. Unfortunately this all congregates around turns and makes throwing my back end out easy. In short, I lost control around a turn and parked my stang on a curb...

The good... I haven't lowered it yet and hit the curb completely straight minimizing damage.

The bad... Mild scratches on my front bumper

The ugly (not that bad though)... Completely messed up my alignment, bent a tie rod and I am worried about any other possible damage.

I didn't bottom out though and the car drives normal except for the squeaking from the passengers side front wheel and the car pulls heavy to the right when driving. While I'm going to be replacing the tie rod, is there anything else worth getting done at the same time that is either easy for me to do or will cut down on labor if its in the same general vicinity? I'm really pretty new to front end upgrades on mustangs.. any insight or help would be awesome

Sorry for the wall of text..

That blows. If its pulling hard to one side, I wouldn't drive it all too much. Will chew up your tire fast. I'd replace the tie rods on both sides. Give everything a good look over and have realigned. Should be good to go.

You may need to swap out a lot. If just one tie rod is bent, it will change your toe in or out. This causes most tire wear but will not cause it to pull because both wheels are trying to go straight but can't. Your steering wheel would not be straight. If your car is pulling the camber and caster have been changed. If you hit hard enough to bend a tie rod there is probably control arm damage also.

I had the same problem as you a few years back but hit the rear end instead. Bent the axle and rim and go figure a cop was within eye shot. Hence a 402.00 ticket for stunting ( going all of 10-15 mph) + + +. Nice thing was I got to buy 4 new rims tehehehe. Oh here believe it or not a stunting ticket involves ZERO points, how nice is that eh!

I'd have both wheels on that side checked out to make sure they are still true.

Check for bubbled tires. Even if you see a cut or scrape in a tire I would replace it, as it may bubble a few months down the road. There was an impact and the steel belts could separate down the road, which could be bad news if it happens on a hard turn or even just driving down the highway. Tires are cheaper than a whole new car and or your life so just replace them.

I'll have that looked at, the steering wheel is a bit off center when I'm going straight and both front tires are being replaced with the tie rod on wednesday.. right now I'm not driving it at all... should I just ask them to look at the camber and caster and control arms?

For sure. A good shop will give you print outs of your alignment and will also be able to tell if anything else is damaged.
