My stock Trans mount was ripped and worn, figured I'd try out the poly mount they sell on summit. Install was simple and good, looks very solid. However this is not the mount for me, or anyone that uses their car As a dd. the car vibrates a good deal more now at all speeds and it also transfers even more noise into the cab then before. I'll be ordering an oem style mount soon, so if anyones Interested in this ill sell it pretty cheap. Would be good for a weekend/track car just not for me.

Yup, polyurethane bushings and mounts do that. But it's one of those things no one believes until they have "been there and done that". They also self-destruct, getting brittle and then crumbling, after 35k to 50k miles/2-5 years of DD use...

Yeah, I made that discovery as well. I went with prothane engine and trans mounts. The engine mounts were awesome, but that trans mount was yanked a month later. Way too harsh for a DD.

I had poly engine and trans mounts. I could definitely tell a difference but I didn't think it was that bad.

Have you priced OEM mounts yet? Mine are getting to that age they need replaced.

OEM trans mount is about $65.

Yeah you always have to have some rubber in there or the car will rattle to pieces, not to mention the extra stress on the trans case. I'm not sure how ours are mounted but depending on the car, stiff mounts can break mounting tabs with a hard shift.

The engine mounts for my other car, I actually took the factory mounts, put them in a press, compressed them down and welded a bar across to hold them down. so the mounts are still rubber, but stiffer and don't move as much. I'm very happy with how they turned out.
