Default My Intercooler Build Thread

Hey guys. Here is my build thread. Tons of pics showing the steps. I went from a 3.6 Non-I/C Vortech to a 3.12 I/C Vortech V1 with a Tial BOV and power pipe.

Take a look at the pictures and tell me what you think. My tuner was concerned about the switch to blow through from draw through (granted he said it meant procharger or turbo - he forgot what car I had.....) From what I've seen on here, I thought blowthrough was the better option.... Shouldn't he have no issues tuning this?

You'll notice tons of test fitting, haha. Then the pipes got welded. Then everything fitted again. Then a struggle to get the bumper on with the fog lights still in tact.

I have the BOV after the down pipe from the headunit, before the curves into the I/C and attached to a vacuum line. I have the IAC Hose going in right before the T/B and I have the valve cover hose going into the power pipe. The Maf was spliced/soddered to be the IAT and MAF, and is on the straight part of the pipe going to the T/B.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts!! Hope to have it tuned by the end of March.

Blow through is the way to go! I personally would have dropped the intercooler a little lower to get more fresh air across it under the bumper a few rows. Looks badass though.

No. Car won't stay on and hasn't been tuned yet. Turns over then stalls.
