Cool Next step what would you do?

Planning my next steps. Figure I have several options.

Cliff notes my tuner will install cams degree install BAP and wire upgrade and retune for $950

Option 1: install hp292 cams and leave my current 3.12" pulley on. Hope stock shortblock holds together. Keep in mind my tuner had a similar car with these cams make 500rwhp on stock shortblock with 250+ 1/4 mile passes on it

Option 2: install hp292 cams and put 3.6" pulley back on to save shortblock to keep boost down

Option 3: save parts and install money for built shortblock and trickflow heads and mhs custom cams

Option 4: forget it all and save for 2012 5.0.......

I will add I have this sick love for a nasty 2v aka 600+ rwhp. But the new 5.0's are just nasty

I agree, but also disagree

I'd KILL for one, but the instant you put a CAI and load up that SCT the warranty goes out the window. And ford's cracking down on voiding them with the quickness

Yup ha ha. Cliff notes I can add. My car = paid off. But I do have a truck payment. I had pondered the new 5.0 and trading in truck then I would just buy a cheaper 4x4 and dd the 5.0. But yes the fear of keeping it stock save for voiding the warrenty sucks unless you can have all the fun with a set of slicks but heck the same power level gets boring after a period of time. Oh yeah the 2012 I found is mineral grey with the brembo package and 19's.....oh decisions decisions I do love 2v's but man ha ha

If it were me, I'd absolutely go for option #4.

As much as i love the new 5.0's, putting alot less money into what you already have woupd have you eating up just about anything that pulls up next to you.

i like option 1 and my modified option 3 lol. I'm about to just install my cams and swap from my 9# pulley to my 14# to intentionally pop the block to motivate myself to put my new block together lol... and I'm waiting on my heads to get here....
