just a though with the 4V motor, upgrade to the better 97/98 radiator fan, the 96's had an issue with overheating, i got one from a junkyard for $15 and it drops right in
So are you talking about a 97/98 GT radiator or a SVT Cobra? Are the inlet and outlets in the same location?

be careful with your lack of info. The TSB for the 96 cooling problem had allot more to do than just the fan. The more important thing is the A/c condenser which had the fins way to close to allow enough air to to the radiator.
google TSB 96-25-12

My 96 with the 4V swap would get pretty toasty in the summer, I would regularly hit 238*F with the A/C on. Never had much problem with it though.

Hell, my LT1 firebird's main fan doesn't kick on till 220*F and the secondary fan doesn't kick on till 235.

It took a while to get started. I've been collecting parts such as Cobra exhaust manifolds, a Mark VIII throttle cable, engine stand, etc., but yesterday I got started with the intake manifold removal. This is a much larger job than I had anticipated. I've done many many engine swaps through the years but they've all been on 60s-70s vintage cars. This is a whole different beast. Here is the engine on the stand just as I got started...

Immediately I am confronted with dilemmas. Do I need to take off the water manifold? If so, how do I do it? There are no bolts holding it on.

It looks to go into the head and not the intake but it also looks to get in the way. Here is how it enters the head...

Also they enter the back of the heads in a most unusual way...

So I decided to take of one of the easier to get to manifolds. Now for the next dilemma, how to get it back on and not leak? Can they be reused?
