DO not wrap headers that will be used where they can get wet.
I went with the ceramic coated because I was worried about what they will look like in the future. I hate seeing rust and I'm hoping the ceramic keeps it under control. The mild steel uncoated headers will rust fast. Sure it is only surface rust but it is still ugly as hell.

Ceramic does indeed help to reduce heat under the hood and is a good thing. This may not be worth a $100 bucks though, so you just have to make a decision on it. I just purchased a set of JBA (almost said, JBL and then JLT... lol) ceramic coated shorties for just this reason. I had not heard of the different "brands" of ceramic coating, as The Cliffster mentioned, but makes sense that some would be better than rattle can application

Yea, I'll email BBK today and see. I have heard that 'jet-hot' is the bees knees.

I mean...my mentality says...if I'm going to fork out $600 for one of the lowest quality sets of headers out, I might as well save a few hundred more and get a set of kooks.

However...on the other hand, I'd really rather go with what works. BBK uncoated $469 set. Chrome, ceramic, diamond plate, or purple, I'm with uber....they aren't even visible under the hood, really. I'm a cheap bastid, really. $469 seems steep. $600 is "really?". $1000 is...well..."no".

Thanks for the input fellas.

Just curious, jazzer, why did you go with shorties?

Screw it...just gonna get the ceramics. I know I'll hate my life a year after install and the collectors on the stainless manifolds are all rusted and nasty looking.

Ceramic it is.

Only reason I dont have LTs is because I know I'll blow through a trans again and be stuck dropping the k member to sneak it out. Moonshine, buy 2 sets...ill install yours for you and as payment, give me headers lol
