Default Do I have to re-tune?

I have a 2002 GT vert. My current mods are BBK CIA, BBK 70mm T/B, stock plenum, stock exhaust manifolds, stock catted H-pipe, and SLP Lm1 C/B. I just purchased an SCT 4-bank eliminator chip. Be here Tuesday with listed mods on tunes.

I'm getting a deal on a set of MAC L/T's, shorty O/R H-pipe, and a Trick Flow plenum. Will I have to re-tune for the installation of the L/T's and plenum? Or at very least, just plenum? Will it cause a lean condition and damage engine not re-tuning?

Also, whats the skinny on installing the L/T's? Do you "have" to drop K-member or lift engine to install? I might not purchase these if its major work installing. And what performance gains should be expected on L/T's?

Thanks for any info. Greatly appreciated.

you wont "need" a retune, but to maximize your mods it would help. and from my understanding lt's are a b****h to install, which is the main reason i havent gotten them

You'll def need a retune for the LTs ... It's drive able but I wouldnt beat on it.. Have to drop kframe for easiest way to install... And prob look at 20hp gain once you get it retuned

My car without a doubt needed a retune after the long tube install, car ran wayto rich. On a car with with an existing dyno tune i say its a must. If you have a na car without a tune there might be enough slop in the factory tune to not have a problem, but id sill get a tune.

I would say get a tune bc it couldn't hurt. With LT's,o/r mid pipe and tune you could see 25 rwhp.I ended up at almost 290 rwhp with lt's,catted x pipe and tune.I think 260 rwhp is what the 96-98 cobras were stock but I'm not positive on that.
