Car Cleaning

Absolutely nothing wrong with Amour all wash N' wax I use it all the time and its the best car wash out there IMO. Just take the nozzle off the hose and rinse it off gently, not under pressure to reduce water spots.
If you want to prep your ride before waxing then i would use regular dish soap. Dish soap will strip the wax off and get the surface squeaky clean and ready for a new coat of wax, softens your hands while you wash too....
I really like Meguiar's Gold class liquid wax, thats some of the best stuff i used. very easy to spread on and take off and leaves a nice wet shine.... I use Meguiars ultimate quick detailer spray in between washes to clean up the occasional bird poop.
Another cool product that works great is Turtle wax Ice. The secret to using it is to NOT use too much and to barely use any pressure when wiping it off and when done, it leaves a very wet look.

Had this back when I was really into keeping the car clean.. now I just bring it to the local self serve car wash and use their soap and scrub the car with a micro fiber towel then rinse it off. When I do detail my bucket, I use the meguiar's paint restoration kit with the 2 bucket setup.
I also like pinnacle products, just can't get them locally so I use meguiar's.
A lot of people recommend the dish soap for stripping the wax, which is fine and all, but it also breaks down and dries out the rubber/plastic trim on the car, if you do this then just make sure you condition them thoroughly afterwards.

What I'm gonna do with my car when i get home to get ready for a local car show...
1. Wash with Armour All Wash and Wax (used it for a while and no complaints)
2. Clay bar with a Meguires Clay Bar (any will do) and quick detailer
3. Do a 3 step process with Adam's Car Care products (Scratch remover, polish, sealant) with a Porter cable (LOVE IT)
Car turns out great!
If I'm just doing a quick wash and wax I use the first 2 steps mentioned above but for 3. I just do a meguires Scratch X and Tech 2.0 Wax w/ a foam applicator. Never has failed me yet, car looks brand new!

Know what works well on inertia is Lemon Pledge wipes .
Smells great and leave a nice oil free shine.
Try it !!! Learn it from a older friend and used them ever sense.
For the the black plastics out side that get dull (cowl & trims ) try creamy peanut butter another trick that restores plastic. It works !!!
better than back to black.
If you car is black I hear turtle wax Black Box works very well.
havent tried it yet but it will be tried on my Black GT this year.
