In California Mustangs are dirt cheap. I have an 03 GT in pretty clean shape. I have a scratched bumper with scratched quarter panel and Im having a friend repaint the bumper and qp and then wax the whole car. He does excellent work. But it is very true, try to fix any small cheap things wrong with the car, becus a potential buyer will find them and point them out.

As I was saying, I have 03 GT with 112k bone stock, True Blue with bullit wheels, premium package (leather, electric seats, mach stereo etc) and even after its painted, Im hoping I can get $7k for it. I think it just depends where you live and If you find a buyer that loves it! Over here in LA you can buy a real nice GT for $5-$7k

And sometimes all the extra mods do decrease value, most people wont take it as your getting extra, they will take it as, you beat on the car more!

I was going to say you might be better of parting it out and then selling it as close to stock as you can.

to be honest i would do a swap if i was you. well depends on price and miles of mach but if you are going to drop $15k or so on a nice mach might as well drop $5000 into your car and make it one bad machine but thats just my thought process. like my car is a bone stock 2v, vert, 40k and if i wanted a term with low miles like that and vert it would be low-mid 20s maybe more. i could do $10k worth of work to my car and have a car just as nice if not nicer in my opinion but it will destroy resale value of course
